About Stephen
Stephen N. Libin applies a background in engineering and business to a diverse practice emphasizing complex class action, product liability, general negligence, occupiers' liability, construction, motor vehicle, professional negligence, and environmental disputes. He has trial, motion, application, and appeal experience before all levels of court in Ontario. Stephen joined Branch MacMaster in 2024 after 15 years at a national law firm and a leading insurance defence boutique, where he served as lead counsel for defendants in two major COVID-19 class proceedings. He sits on the editorial board of the Toronto Law Journal and has volunteered with Pro Bono Ontario. Stephen earned his JD from the University of Toronto in 2008, a Bachelor of Engineering Science with distinction from Western University in 2005, and an Honours Business Administration with distinction from the Richard Ivey School of Business in 2005, and was called to the Ontario bar in 2009.
