About Stefan

Stefan Kuuskne is an associate whose practice centers on arbitration and cross-border commercial disputes, acting for investors, corporations, and other commercial parties. His sector experience spans finance, energy, resource and land disputes, and climate-related litigation, along with construction disputes involving procurement and trade. Before joining the firm he practiced commercial litigation, trade, and arbitration at firms in New York, Paris, and Toronto, and later worked at the Department of Justice and Global Affairs Canada, representing the federal government in ICSID and UNCITRAL proceedings. He holds the Eugene Lang Fellowship from Columbia, a J.D. from Osgoode Hall, and a master's from the Geneva Graduate Institute. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2013 and the New York bar in 2015, and belongs to the ADR Institute of Canada, the ICC Institute of World Business Law, and the American Society of International Law.
