About Sorena
Sorena Zahiri is an associate at Babin Bessner Spry, having joined the firm as a summer student in 2023 and returned as an articling student after graduating from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2024. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 2025. While at Osgoode, Sorena worked as a caseworker at Parkdale Community Legal Services, and before law school he served as a Constituency Assistant to a Toronto City Councillor and edited a community newspaper in northwest Toronto. He also interned with the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development and on the production team of a Canadian current affairs program. Sorena holds a BA with a double major in Political Science and African Studies from York University and an MA from the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy at the University of Toronto.
