About Brendan
Brendan Monahan joined Babin Bessner Spry as an associate in 2018 and made partner in 2025. His work covers complex commercial disputes including securities litigation, contractual and shareholder disputes, director and officer liability, insolvency, competition law, and class proceedings. He regularly appears before Ontario courts, including the Court of Appeal, and has argued before the Federal Court of Appeal, the Alberta Court of Appeal, private arbitrations, and securities regulators in Ontario and British Columbia. Before joining the firm he worked at a securities litigation boutique on regulatory investigations and prosecutions. Brendan completed a combined J.D./M.B.A. at Osgoode Hall Law School and the Schulich School of Business and holds a B.A. from Queen's University. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2017 and was named to Benchmark Litigation's 40 & Under List for 2026.
