About Simren

Simren Sihota is an associate who has been with the firm's construction law team almost since its founding. He acts for a wide range of participants in the construction industry, including owners, developers, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and sureties. His work spans both front-end contract drafting and negotiation and back-end dispute resolution, litigation, and private arbitration, on projects from residential matters to some of Canada's largest infrastructure builds. He has advised on contracting for battery energy storage projects, acted as counsel in arbitrations involving rail signalling systems, and worked on light rail and subway projects. He also runs the firm's student program and is a frequent guest speaker at universities including Toronto Metropolitan University, the University of Toronto, Western University, and Queen's. He earned his J.D. from the University of Western Ontario in 2019 and was called to the Ontario bar in 2020.
