About Jacob

Jacob Lokash is an associate at Margie Strub who completed his articles and two summer terms at the firm before focusing on complex construction contracts and disputes. His work includes drafting and negotiating standard-form and custom agreements for owners, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors, along with resolving disputes on light rail transit and other major infrastructure projects. Representative matters include advising joint ventures on light rail projects, preparing subcontract forms for a major subway project, drafting bespoke development agreements, and negotiating a master services agreement for EV charging station installation across Ontario. Jacob earned his J.D. from the University of Toronto in 2023 and a B.A. with distinction from the University of Western Ontario in 2019, and he was recognized with the Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP Prize, awarded for his standing in contracts, and placed first in the Atrium Essay Contest with an essay focused on construction law. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 2024.
