About Shawn
Shawn Irving is a commercial litigator at Osler focused on complex, high-stakes business disputes. His work spans multi-jurisdictional class actions, disputes over the dissolution of private companies, and insolvent company restructurings. Irving primarily represents corporate, banking and other financial sector clients, with particular depth in insolvency and restructuring matters as well as private equity and investment fund disputes. He regularly appears in securities, commercial and insolvency proceedings, including investigations and enforcement matters brought by securities regulators. Irving has served as debtor counsel in numerous proceedings under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act and the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, and has also appeared in several high-profile receivership matters. He sits on Osler's Billing Management Committee and previously served on the firm's Innovation Council and Practice Management and Innovation Committee.
