About Shadi
Shadi Katirai handles complex litigation matters including professional liability, class actions, and product liability claims. She has represented clients in mediations, at trial, before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, and in proceedings before professional regulatory colleges, often defending building inspectors, architects, engineers, and health care professionals. She also advises clients on risk management strategies. Shadi holds a Master of Laws in health law from Georgetown University, where she also researched pandemic preparedness at the Canadian Embassy in Washington, D.C. She has served as a board member of the Council of the College of Physiotherapists, as a legal member of the research ethics boards at Sunnybrook Hospital and University Health Network's Toronto Rehab, and on the Ontario Bar Association's Health Law Executive. She also does pro bono work for Autism Matters.
