About Shad
Shad Chapman leads Brownlee LLP's Insurance and Litigation practice area across the firm's Edmonton and Vancouver offices, practising corporate, insurance, and construction litigation. Chapman was called to the bar in Alberta in 2001 after articling at Brownlee starting in 2000, and is also licensed in British Columbia, the Northwest Territories, and Yukon. Chapman's practice covers products liability, commercial general liability defence, fire and property losses, environmental law, coverage disputes, professional negligence, motor vehicle accident defence, intellectual property disputes, and corporate-commercial and shareholder disputes, along with mediation and other alternative dispute resolution. Chapman holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Calgary (1996) and an LL.B. from the University of Alberta (2000), teaches for the Legal Education Society of Alberta, edits the firm's insurance law bulletin, and speaks for the Canadian Bar Association.
