She is certified by the Law Society of Upper Canada as a specialist in intellectual property (patent, trademark and copyright) and holds a graduate degree in molecular biology with laboratory research experience in genetics, gene expression and pharmacology. She is a registered patent agent before CIPO and the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
