About Andrea

Andrea Long is a lawyer, patent agent and trademark agent who has practiced exclusively in intellectual property law for over 15 years. Her work spans IP litigation, patent and trademark drafting and prosecution, trademark opposition and expungement proceedings, domain name disputes and general IP advice, and she has appeared before the Federal Court of Canada, the Ontario Courts, the Trademarks Opposition Board and the Patent Appeal Board. Andrea holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Molecular Genetics and Molecular Biology from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Law from Queen's University, and she was called to the Ontario bar in 2004 as a registered Canadian trademark and patent agent. She is a member of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada, the Ontario and Canadian Bar Associations, and the International Trademark Association, and has served on IPIC's Committee on Industrial Designs and on INTA's Canadian subcommittee on Famous Trademarks.
