Insurance LawSeamus Ryder was called to the bar in Ontario and Nova Scotia in 2017 and advises clients in the marine, transportation and related industries on maritime, corporate, commercial, administrative and environmental matters. He holds a J.D. from Bond University in Australia, an LL.M. in the Law of the Sea from the Arctic University of Norway, a diploma in ocean law and policy from the Rhodes Academy, and a Bachelor of Management from Dalhousie University. Before joining Metcalf & Company, Seamus interned with the United Nations' Division of Ocean Affairs and Law of the Sea and was a research fellow at the K.G. Jebsen Centre for Law of the Sea in Norway. He continues to teach at Dalhousie University and has been named a National Leader in Transport Law by Who's Who Legal. He also serves as Honorary Consul for Guatemala.
