About Frank
Frank Metcalf, K.C. has practised law in Halifax for more than 55 years, concentrating on maritime law, marine insurance, financing and corporate law, and acting for P&I and hull and machinery underwriters and marine and fishing businesses. He managed an offshore supply ship company for five years, providing support services to major oil companies operating on the East Coast. Frank was appointed Queen's Counsel in 1986, served as Honorary Consul for Finland from 1992 to 2016, and is a past chairman of the Association of Average Adjusters of Canada. He sat on a four-member federal panel that reviewed the Canada Marine Act in 2002 and 2003, and is a long-standing member of the Canadian Maritime Law Association and the Eastern Admiralty Law Association.
