About Scott

The managing partner of the firm's Hamilton office, Scott Beattie conducts a broad commercial litigation practice representing private and institutional clients, including insurers and municipalities, with particular focus on professional negligence and commercial disputes such as breaches of contract, shareholder disputes and debtor/creditor actions. He is preferred counsel for LawPRO and has defended legal malpractice claims for the past 13 years. In 2024, he was named a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America.
