Construction LawDavid has practiced class action, commercial, and civil litigation for more than 35 years, known for a direct, candid style with clients and opposing counsel alike. He earned his BA from McMaster University in 1983 and his JD from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1986, and was called to the Ontario bar in 1988. David acted as lead counsel on one of Canada's largest class action settlements, involving 900,000 class members and a settlement value over $260 million. He's a member of the Hamilton Law Association, the American Trial Lawyers Association, and the Advocates' Society, and has served as a trustee of the Hamilton Law Association board. David frequently comments on legal issues for national media and has written numerous articles on class actions and litigation.
