About Sarah

Sarah Strathopolous is a partner whose family law practice covers complex property division, income disputes, support and parenting matters, handled through mediation, arbitration or litigation depending on what best suits the client. She has practised family law exclusively since her call to the bar and has appeared before every level of court in Ontario, including the Court of Appeal, as well as on interprovincial matters. She is an accredited family mediator with the Ontario Association for Family Mediation and completed further training in screening for power imbalances and intimate partner violence in 2021, followed by a mediation certificate from York University in 2022. Sarah has served on the Ontario Bar Association's Family Law executive since 2020 and volunteers as a pro bono supervisor and with Luke's Place virtual legal clinic. In 2022 she became the first recipient of the Advocates' Society's Patrick D. Schmidt Future of Family Law Award, and Best Lawyers Canada recognizes her in both family law and family law mediation.
