She obtained her law degree from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University, where she volunteered at the Centre for Law and Democracy and interned at the Dallaire Institute, and completed a placement at the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission. Following her articles at the firm, Sarah clerked for Justice Michael Manson of the Federal Court, gaining experience in administrative law, immigration, intellectual property and Aboriginal law. She also holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Microbiology & Immunology and a Master of Science in Cardiovascular Physiology & Biophysics, both from Dalhousie University.
