About Samantha

Samantha Purton grew up in the suburbs of Vancouver and completed an Honours Degree in Criminology with a Minor in Gender and Women's Studies at Simon Fraser University. She then worked for two years in the criminal justice field, including as a volunteer at the Downtown Community Court and as a Legal Advocate for the Indigenous Community Legal Clinic, before attending the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University, completing a Juris Doctor with a Certificate in Criminal Justice in 2021. She articled at Ferguson Allingham and became an associate on her call to the bar in May 2022, litigating a range of criminal matters.
