About Maxwell
Maxwell Radway is a sole-practitioner litigation lawyer focused on employment law, labour law, defamation, professional regulation and commercial litigation. He began his career at the Toronto office of a large global law firm, working on complex litigation, major transactions and cross-border matters, before moving to a well-known boutique litigation firm where he became a partner and worked on high-profile lawsuits that drew national media coverage. His employment law work spans wrongful and constructive dismissal, harassment claims, employment standards, disability benefits, workers' compensation and occupational health and safety, and he also advises on employment contracts, terminations and workplace investigations. As a labour lawyer he handles grievance arbitrations and advises on collective agreements, and he updated a human rights textbook on the duty to accommodate in the workplace. Maxwell has acted in defamation cases involving allegations of professional misconduct, discrimination and harassment, and he represents clients before professional regulators as well as in commercial disputes such as shareholder and partnership conflicts, product liability and securities litigation. He completed his legal education at Queen's University Faculty of Law, where he represented his school at an international commercial arbitration moot in Vienna and served twice as president of the Queen's Law Litigation Society.
