About Sadira

Sadira Jan is Managing Partner of Stewart McKelvey's Halifax office, called to the Nova Scotia bar in 2007 and the Ontario bar in 2025. Her practice centres on banking and financing transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate and contractual work, including negotiating bilateral and syndicated credit facilities and debt offerings ranging from the hundreds of thousands to the billions. She is also active in renewable energy, advising clients on wind, hydrogen, tidal and solar projects across Atlantic Canada since the industry's early stages, and in fisheries law, an area she taught at Dalhousie University for a decade. Jan holds an LL.B. (2006) and a B.Sc. (2000), both from Dalhousie University, and has been recognized by Best Lawyers and Lexpert for banking, energy and project finance work.
