About Saba

Saba Ahmad joined Woodward & Company as Senior Counsel in 2025, with work emphasizing advancing the rights of Indigenous people and nations, particularly in governance and self-determination. She spent over 21 years as a civil litigator in Ontario and New York, handling complex commercial, administrative, and public interest litigation matters. She holds an Honours BSc from the University of Toronto focusing on philosophy and biology, an interdisciplinary master's degree from NYU exploring Islamic responses to Darwinism, and a JD from NYU Law School (2003). She was admitted to the New York Bar in 2004 and the Ontario Bar in 2009, and is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the New York Bar, the Ontario Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, and the Canadian Bar Association, having served as an executive member of various Ontario Bar Association sections. She is deeply committed to protecting the natural environment, volunteering in environmental causes, and describes herself as a passionate commuter cyclist.
