About Ryan

Ryan P. Burgoyne is a partner in Cox & Palmer's Fredericton office and a member of the firm's litigation group, practising mainly insurance defence, municipal liability, professional liability, personal injury and construction matters. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Laws from the University of New Brunswick in 1999 and 2005 and was called to the New Brunswick bar in 2006. Ryan has been lead counsel at all levels of the New Brunswick courts, including cases such as Fidler v. Province of New Brunswick and Laboratoires C.O.P. Inc. v. New Brunswick College of Pharmacists, and represents insurers on subrogated claims and contamination remediation matters. He is a regular speaker at the New Brunswick Bar Admission course on insurance law and civil litigation, and was recognized in the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory as a leading practitioner in commercial insurance litigation. Within the firm, he previously served as Managing Partner of the Fredericton office from 2017 to 2019.
