About Ryan
Ryan Shaw's practice centres on construction and real estate litigation alongside insurance defence work. He completed his articles with Richards Buell Sutton in May 2014 before joining the firm as an associate and later partner, representing institutional clients, international developers, and individual stakeholders across all British Columbia court levels. His work covers builders' lien disputes, commercial leasing conflicts, environmental liability matters, and property damage claims, and he has authored multiple insurance-focused publications. He holds a J.D. from the University of British Columbia (2013) and a B.A. (with Distinction) from the University of Victoria (2008), and was called to the bar in 2014. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Law Society of British Columbia, and the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia.
