About Ron

Ron is counsel in the Charlottetown office who works at the intersection of business, academic institutions, governments, and support organizations, advising innovative companies through significant exits. His clients have largely faced issues around attracting capital and formulating and implementing commercialization strategy. He considers one of his career highlights to be growing a business to 250 employees and more than $100 million in revenue before completing a shareholder exit. Ron earned his LLB/MBA from Dalhousie University in 1983, a BBA from the University of Prince Edward Island in 1979, and holds an ICD.D designation and a Chartered Accountant designation. He was named King's Counsel in 2018 and has served in leadership roles including president of the Regis Duffy Bioscience Fund and past chair of the Atlantic Provinces Economic Council.
