About Roberto
Roberto Alberto immigrated to Canada from El Salvador in 1984 and has lived and worked in Victoria since. He holds degrees in Applied Chemistry and Biology from Camosun College and in Biochemistry and Microbiology (Biology minor) from the University of Victoria, and attended the University of Victoria Law School. Fluent in English and Spanish, he is registered with the Attorney General of British Columbia to notarize and authenticate bilingual documents for international use. His practice focuses on criminal law and child protection; he has been a member of the Criminal Duty Counsel Roster since 2013 and the Justice Access Centre's Duty Counsel Team since 2016, and is a sessional instructor at the University of Victoria teaching Criminal Procedure and coaching the Criminal Advocacy Moot Team.
