About Owen
Owen James is an associate lawyer who has practised in Victoria since his call to the bar, focusing primarily on criminal law with some family law matters. He has appeared in the BC Supreme Court, Provincial Court, and Court of Appeal, with clients acquitted of charges including aggravated assault, possession for the purpose of trafficking, unlawful confinement, and sexual assault. During law school at the University of Victoria, he represented the university at the Macintyre Cup criminal trial advocacy moot, placing third and receiving recognition for best closing submissions, and volunteered with Pro Bono Students of Canada.
