About Robert

Robert Talach is a senior partner at Beckett Personal Injury Lawyers and leads the firm's Sexual Abuse Department. Robert Talach was born and raised in the Chatham area, earned a Bachelor of Arts from Western University in 1994, and obtained his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Windsor in 2000, graduating with the highest academic standing in his class. Robert Talach has advocated for clients injured in motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, farming accidents, and medical malpractice cases since being called to the Ontario Bar in 2002, and is also called to the bar in New Brunswick and British Columbia. Robert Talach began working on sexual abuse lawsuits early in his career through J.R.S. v. Glendinning and has since represented clients across Canada, including in K.M.M. v. The Roman Catholic Diocese of London, the largest trial award in Canada for a female child victim of sexual abuse by clergy, and a 2018 case that resulted in a $2.6 million jury verdict. Robert Talach has served as a Canadian Forces Reservist since 1988, deployed on a United Nations peacekeeping mission in Bosnia, and was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee medal for his work representing survivors of sexual abuse.
