Chris Beckett is the founding partner of Beckett Personal Injury Lawyers and practises exclusively in the firm's Personal Injury Group. Chris Beckett was born in Windsor, Ontario, and raised in London, earning a Bachelor of Arts from Western University before attending Osgoode Hall Law School, graduating in 1996. Chris Beckett was called to the bar in 1998, started the firm Ledroit Beckett in 1999, and established Beckett Personal Injury Lawyers in 2013, practising civil litigation with an emphasis on personal injury and insurance defence. During the first 25 years of his career, Chris Beckett represented individuals injured in motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, and medical malpractice cases, and also defended insurance cases for some of Canada's largest insurers before shifting to representing plaintiffs exclusively. Notable matters include Tremblay v. Deelstra, where Chris Beckett obtained the highest jury award in Ontario for pain and suffering, upheld on appeal, and Vuong v. St. Joseph's Health Care London, resulting in a multi-million dollar judgment for a child who suffered catastrophic birth injuries. Chris Beckett is a member of the Ontario Bar Association, the Middlesex Law Association, and The Advocates' Society.
