Wills, Estates & TrustsRichard Worsfold is counsel at Mills & Mills LLP, bringing over 30 years of litigation experience to the firm. He acts both as an advocate for clients and as a mediator helping parties settle disputes through alternative dispute resolution. His litigation background covers will challenges, shareholders' rights disputes, traffic fatality cases, incapacity issues, and wrongful dismissal claims, and he has appeared before courts at all levels in Ontario. Richard now concentrates his practice on estate litigation, aiming to move disputes toward resolution efficiently while identifying the key issues in each matter. His recent court work includes obtaining an order removing estate trustees in Hospital For Sick Children v. Nicholas, defending a will challenge on behalf of twenty charitable beneficiaries in the Kates Estate case, and successfully defending a fiduciary duty and fraud claim in Wong v. Li. He was called to the bar in 1985 after earning his LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1983.
