About Ashley

Ashley Hatt is an associate at McInnes Cooper's Saint John office, with legal interests in estates and trusts, corporate law, and bankruptcy and insolvency. During law school she worked as a research assistant for Professor Richard H. McLaren, assisting with sports, commercial, and labour arbitrations and updating his publications on alternative dispute resolution, commercial insolvency and restructuring, and secured transactions. She also helped manage and edit Secured Transactions in Personal Property in Canada and the Annotated Ontario Personal Property Security Act. She earned her JD from the University of Western Ontario in 2025 and a BA (Hons.) from St. Francis Xavier University in 2022, and was called to the New Brunswick bar in 2026.
