About Richard
Richard Steed has a general corporate commercial practice focused on securities, corporate finance, and commercial transactions for emerging and growth companies, advising on capital markets access, corporate governance, financings, acquisitions, cross-border transactions, and corporate restructurings across industries including biotechnology, cannabis, and software. Before joining TingleMerrett LLP, he spent five years in the securities, M&A, and corporate group at a major international law firm, and also acts as director and corporate secretary for several private companies. Steed earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Lethbridge (2010), a Master of Science in Sustainable Energy Development from the University of Calgary (2012), and a Juris Doctor from Thompson Rivers University (2015), and joined the partnership at TingleMerrett LLP on January 1, 2024.
