About Richard

Richard is a lawyer at TDS in Winnipeg whose practice includes corporate and commercial law with an emphasis on shareholder matters, acquisitions, sales, and mergers. A native of Winnipeg, he was admitted to the Manitoba bar in 1976 and previously served as General Counsel for CanWest Global, earning the National Post and ZSA Recruitment's Canadian General Counsel of the Year award in 2008. He served on the board and governance committee of People Corporation from 2012 until its acquisition in 2021, and currently sits on the board of the Asper Jewish Community Campus of Winnipeg. Richard holds a BA (1971) and LL.B. (1975) from the University of Manitoba.
