About Jack
Jack London serves as Senior Counsel to Pitblado Law, with extensive local, national, and international experience in Aboriginal and constitutional law, succession planning and taxation, and alternative dispute resolution, particularly mediation. Jack has negotiated in both public and private sectors and has appeared before all levels of provincial and federal courts, including numerous appearances before the Supreme Court of Canada. Jack's practice has also included extensive policy development in the public sector and strategic planning and structuring for private business clients. Jack earned an LL.B. from the University of Manitoba in 1966 and an LL.M. from Harvard Law School in 1971, was called to the Manitoba Bar in 1966, and served as a professor and Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Manitoba. Jack was named the 2014 Best Lawyers in Canada 'Lawyer of the Year' in Winnipeg for Indigenous Law and has been recognized annually for more than 20 years in that area, and was appointed to the Order of Canada in 2004.
