About Richard
Richard C.C. Peck, K.C., is the founding partner of Peck and Company and has practiced criminal law for over 40 years. A lifetime resident of Vancouver, he received his LL.B. from the University of British Columbia Faculty of Law in 1974 and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1975. He was appointed Queen's Counsel in 1987. Peck has appeared as counsel at all levels of court in Canada, including numerous appearances before the Supreme Court of Canada, and has acted as a special prosecutor conducting prosecutions on behalf of the Ministry of the Attorney General. He is a Life Bencher of the Law Society of British Columbia, co-chair of the Federation of Law Societies of Canada's National Criminal Law Program, and a former Adjunct Professor at the University of British Columbia Faculty of Law. He is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Society of Barristers, and has authored numerous papers and publications in criminal law.
