Managing Partner at Rusonik, O'Connor, Ross, Hershberg, Ghebrai & MacDonald LLP
Reid is the firm's managing partner and has represented people facing criminal charges in Toronto, the GTA, and across Ontario for nearly 40 years. He is known for taking cases to trial rather than pleading guilty, and he regularly raises Charter arguments, particularly in drug, weapons, and property matters. He has tried close to a hundred jury cases ranging from murder and manslaughter to firearms and drug possession and dangerous driving causing death. Before forming the current firm, Reid ran Pinkofskys Criminal Trial and Appeal Lawyers, once Canada's largest criminal defence firm, as managing partner for over 15 years. He graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1987, was called to the Ontario bar in 1989, and became a partner at Pinkofskys in 1992. His opinions on the justice system have appeared in the Toronto Star.
