Raquel Chisholm is a partner at Emond Harnden who advises employers in Ontario and federal jurisdictions on all areas of labour and employment law, with particular focus on human rights, disability management, and pay equity. She drafts employment contracts, provides management training and legal opinions, and represents clients in labour arbitrations and human rights hearings before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario and the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal. She has extensive pay equity experience, including audits, seminars, negotiated pay equity plans, and complaint resolution in both provincial and federal sectors. She also advises not-for-profit and charity clients on corporate governance, drafting bylaws, and director fiduciary obligations, drawing on seven years working for The War Amputations of Canada before her legal career. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Bishop's University in 1992 and an LL.B. from the University of Ottawa's Common Law Program in 2003. She holds the Certified Association Executive designation from the Canadian Society of Association Executives, and is a member of the Ottawa Human Resources Professionals Association, the Ontario Bar Association, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Canadian Association of Counsel to Employers.
