About Ram
Ram Sankaran is a litigator in DWF's Calgary office, with experience across commercial, insurance defence, and administrative matters, including construction and energy disputes and complex multi party litigation. Sankaran's court experience spans the Alberta Court of Justice, the Court of King's Bench of Alberta, and the Court of Appeal of Alberta, along with the Federal Court and Federal Court of Appeal of Canada, and he has also represented clients before administrative tribunals. He favours efficient litigation strategies aimed at protecting his clients' interests, whether through negotiated settlement or adjudication. Sankaran earned his LL.B. from the Schulich School of Law in 2007 and was called to the Alberta bar in 2008, later being called to the Manitoba bar in 2024. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association.
