About Ralph

Ralph Hildebrand is Senior Counsel at Lidstone & Company. He most recently served as Corporate Counsel and General Manager, Legal and Legislative Services, at Metro Vancouver, and before that spent 18 years as Deputy City Solicitor for the City of Surrey, advising Council and staff and conducting the city's litigation. Over more than 30 years, Hildebrand has advised local governments on matters ranging from Aboriginal relations to zoning, and chaired the Canadian Section of the International Municipal Law Association for 10 years. He has also chaired the Municipal Subsection and the Resolutions and Bylaws Committee of the Canadian Bar Association of BC, and received the Charles S. Rhyne Lifetime Achievement in Municipal Law Award.
