About Praveen

Praveen Thind was born and raised in Calgary and focuses her practice on commercial litigation, construction litigation, personal injury litigation and insurance defence. She has represented corporations and individuals in complex litigation matters before the Court of Appeal, the Court of King's Bench of Alberta and the Alberta Court of Justice. Praveen graduated from the University of London (SOAS) in 2014 and was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 2018; during her studies in London she served as secretary of her law school's division of Lawyers Without Borders. Before law school she studied sociology at Queen's University on the Queen's University Excellence Scholarship and remained on the Dean's Honour List throughout her studies. She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Advocates' Society, the Association of Women Lawyers (Calgary), Lawyers for Equity Access and Diversity (LEAD), the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers and Global Lawyers of Canada.
