About Kate
Kate Perala is an associate at Carbert Waite LLP, currently on maternity leave, who joined the firm in August 2022 after graduating from the University of Calgary's Faculty of Law. Before law school she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work and worked for non-profit agencies in disability, mental health and addiction. She maintains a broad litigation practice in employment, commercial, construction, health and personal injury matters, representing clients before the Court of King's Bench, Court of Justice, Residential Tenancy Dispute Resolution Service and Human Rights Tribunal, and has experience on both the defence and plaintiff sides of medical malpractice and personal injury claims.
