About Dana
Dana Hagg graduated with a Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary Faculty of Law in 2018, having earned a Bachelor of Science in Pure Mathematics from the same university beforehand. She articled at HMC Lawyers and clerked at the Alberta Court of Queen's Bench before being called to the bar in 2020. Dana graduated as silver medallist of her class, was named to the Dean's List, and received the Campbell McLaurin Achievement Award along with awards for the top grade in property law and civil procedure. She developed her oral advocacy skills through law school, ranking in the top five oralists at the 2017 Chief Justice William McGillivray Moot, helping win the 2017 Bennett Jones Cup in Health Law Advocacy, and serving as the University of Calgary's top-ranked mooter at the 2018 Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. Before law school, she taught linear algebra and calculus for three years and researched formal logic with funding from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada.
