About Peter
Peter Hamilton advises business owners on the legal issues that influence their day-to-day operations and long-term success, from initial incorporation and shareholder agreements to secured financing, acquisitions, and sales. Many of his business clients rely on his real estate experience when purchasing, selling, or leasing commercial property, and his estate planning work extends from his understanding of their business and personal affairs. Established commercial landlords and tenants turn to him to draft, review, and advise on commercial leases. His practice also includes advising business owners and bankruptcy trustees on insolvency matters. He has served as an instructor in the Business Law section of the Law Society of Upper Canada's Bar Admission course and sits on the board of the St. Patrick's Home of Ottawa Foundation. He earned his LL.B. from Queen's University and a B.A. from Trent University.
