About Harold

Harold Feder covers numerous facets of tax practice, including personal and corporate income tax planning, estate planning, GST, sales and land taxes, international tax, and tax litigation and dispute resolution. He handles corporate transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, share and asset purchases, corporate reorganizations and leveraged buyouts, and helps establish employee profit sharing and stock option plans. He has extensive experience serving dental, medical and other professional practices, including incorporations, practice sales, leases and partnership agreements. Harold is a member of the Meritas Canada Tax Group, an affiliation of more than 30 tax and estate planning lawyers across Canada, and provides legal advice to non-profit and charitable organizations and public and private foundations. He has instructed on tax and business law for the Bar Admission Course. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with honours from Wilfrid Laurier University in 1985 and his law degree from the University of Toronto in 1988. He sits on the board of the Soloway Jewish Community Centre, is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Ottawa, and is a past chair of the Ottawa Jewish Community Foundation.
