About Peter

Peter Behie, K.C. focuses on commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution, with particular experience in shareholder and other business disputes. He has spent over 30 years helping business clients resolve disputes through negotiation, mediation, or litigation, and drafts the agreements that finalize these outcomes. Following law school he clerked at the Supreme Court of Canada, was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 1987, and practised with a major commercial firm in downtown Vancouver before joining Ramsay Lampman Rhodes. He holds a graduate law degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and was appointed King's Counsel in 2008. He has taught civil procedure and alternative dispute resolution at the University of Victoria Faculty of Law and served as President of Mediate BC from 2005 to 2015.
