About Paula
Paula Trattner represents both public expropriating authorities and landowners in expropriation matters across Ontario, drawing on a personal experience of being expropriated herself. She spent more than 25 years as a partner at a large Bay Street firm, where she advocated for public and private sector clients in civil actions, administrative and human rights matters, and regulatory proceedings, acting as lead counsel at every level of court in Ontario and before several administrative tribunals. Paula was called to the bar in 1999. She earned her LL.B from Osgoode Hall Law School and completed her LL.M there in 2014. Before law school, she completed a combined honours B.A. in English and History along with a B.Ed., and her first career was teaching English, History, and Law at an independent girls' school in the Toronto area. She has been ranked by Chambers Canada and recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada.
