Business & Corporate LawPaul is a founding partner of LaBarge Weinstein with more than 40 years in practice, focused primarily on taxation, tax planning, and tax litigation. He advises clients on the tax implications of transactions such as investments, mergers, acquisitions, IPOs, and succession planning. Paul handles matters at the audit, reassessment, objection, and appeals stages, and has represented clients in tax appeals before the Tax Court of Canada as well as the Federal Court of Appeal. His career has also touched NAFTA disputes, cross-border financings, and anti-dumping trade inquiries. He holds an LLM in Alternate Dispute Resolution, chairs technology companies including Versaterm Inc. and Neptec Technologies, and founded the Trans Canada Trail Foundation, which he chaired from 1995 to 2017. Paul was called to the Ontario bar in 1976 and the Alberta bar in 1981.
