About Yan

Yan Gertsoyg is the principal counsel of Gertsoyg & Company and has practised as a personal injury lawyer in British Columbia since 1992. He has conducted numerous Supreme Court personal injury trials, ranging from five days to four weeks, and has represented victims of car, motorcycle, and pedestrian accidents, dangerous products and premises, slip and falls, mold exposure, and ski accidents. He was the plaintiff's lawyer in B.D. v. Jevco and B.D. v. ICBC, a leading British Columbia case on underinsured motor vehicle protection, and later chaired the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia's conference on the topic. He is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia, the Canadian Bar Association, the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia, and the American Trial Lawyers Association, and speaks English and Russian.
