About David
David A. Steele is a partner whose practice focuses on trusts and estates, drawing on years of work with sophisticated clients on legal, financial and private wealth matters. He handles family trusts that span Canada and other countries, along with estate planning, estate administration, and trusts used by charities and businesses. He also advises financial institutions and other bodies that serve as trustees or custodians. David taught trusts law at Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, across two periods, 1991 through 1998 and 2000 through 2005, and now leads an LLM program there focused on trusts while teaching how they are used commercially. He holds Academician standing with International Academy of Estate and Trust Law and belongs to the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, having also served on the Ontario Bar Association's Trusts and Estates Section executive committee.
