About Paul
Paul Allan is a partner who advises on a broad range of derivatives, with particular depth in credit derivatives and strategic equity transactions. Paul serves as the European adviser to the Credit Derivatives Determinations Committee, which decides Credit Events and other matters affecting the credit derivatives market. The strategic equity work covers equity derivatives, margin loans, and structured repo and stock lending transactions, and includes advising hedge counterparties on the restructuring of Premier Oil PLC. Paul was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2011, holding a BSc in Government from the London School of Economics and an LLB from the College of Law in London.
