About Patrick
Patrick Marley is recognized as a leading international tax lawyer, having specialized in cross-border tax planning and mergers and acquisitions for more than 25 years. He is the former Co-Chair of Osler's National Tax Group, a former president of the Canadian branch of the International Fiscal Association, and a member of the Board of Governors of the Canadian Tax Foundation. His practice covers corporate income tax matters spanning advisory, transactional, and disputes work, for clients in financial services, technology, mining, telecom, manufacturing, and private equity. Patrick Marley has appeared before the Canadian House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance and the Canadian Senate Banking Committee as an expert on international tax matters. Before joining Osler, he drafted tax laws and formulated tax policy on foreign affiliates and foreign investments at the Canadian Department of Finance, and he holds a Masters in U.S. tax from NYU.
